Christine 16th April 2013

Today 16/04/2013 the 1st Anniversary of your death, I lit a candle by your picture in the dining room, then I headed to the Crematorium the last place I saw you. I lay flowers on the ground not where your ashes are, but where Dads were interred, you see I don't know where your ashes have been placed, nor do I ever think I will. The sun was shining and the birds were singing, as I sat on the bench looking at the flowers we had laid on Sunday and how beautifully the roses had opened. I went off and did the woodland walk, it was lovely the sun was trying to shine through the trees, it was so peaceful. I returned to the bench and sat again a while, reflecting on the past year and how quickly it had passed. Not a day goes by when I don't think of you Mum and wish I could talk to you.
